WELCOME

The body operates as an interconnected system; strain from stress, posture, overuse, or insufficient recovery can lead to compensatory patterns elsewhere. Symptoms may arise, shift, or persist without a clear local cause, often linked to gradual functional patterns.

At Praxis Bens, we assess each situation individually to understand these connections and identify meaningful next steps.

Functional Body Therapy

In our practice, we work with the concept of Functional Body Therapy.

Rather than focusing on isolated symptoms, we view the body as a functional whole. The goal is to identify patterns of tension and movement and support the body in restoring a more efficient internal balance.

Treatment is based on a broad range of targeted manual techniques—from gentle approaches to more structured and mobilising methods—always adapted to the individual situation.

Functional Connections in the Body

Jaw, Stress & Neck Region

Stress can lead to increased tension in the jaw, which may extend into the neck and shoulders through myofascial and neurological connections.

Digestive System & Lower Back

Tension within the visceral system can influence the lower back via fascial and postural chains.

Diaphragm, Posture & Nervous System

The diaphragm plays a central role in breathing, pressure regulation, and posture, and is closely linked to global tension patterns.

Hip Flexor (Psoas) & Prolonged Sitting

The psoas muscle is highly sensitive to prolonged sitting and stress, influencing pelvic alignment and lower back mechanics.
