Michelle Bens

Functional manual work, pregnancy & baby care,

complex tension patterns

My Story

Founder of Praxis Bens and more than 10 years of experience in osteopathy, with a focus on postural correction, stress reduction, pregnancy care, baby treatment, fertility, and endometriosis.

Born and raised in Belgium, I developed a strong passion for movement and sport from an early age. Through my studies in sports science and my own experiences with injuries and health challenges, I became deeply interested in how the human body adapts, recovers, and responds

to load and stress.

This curiosity led me to a full-time osteopathy education at the International Academy of Osteopathy in Ghent (BE), where I found many answers in the functional understanding of the body. I was particularly fascinated by the close relationship between structure, movement, tension

patterns, and regulation, and how these elements contribute to a holistic view of health.

This foundation continues to shape my work today and has strongly influenced my focus on functional manual treatment approaches. My main areas of interest include chronic tension patterns, pregnancy and postpartum care, working with babies, as well as digestive issues, scar tissue, endometriosis and fertility.

Outside of the practice, I enjoy spending time in nature. The mountains are an important source of balance, especially through hiking and skiing. My greatest passion, however, is sailing - a practice that reflects calmness, presence, and the harmony of many small interconnected elements.

I look forward to welcoming you to the practice.
